How to Download Facebook Videos Without Any Software

Wondering how to download videos from Facebook for offline viewing? Want to save your favorite videos before you lose them?

Facebook offers thousands of cool high-quality videos that you can't find anywhere else. So when browsing it, you may have come across so many interesting videos that you wish to save to your computer or phone for watching later without internet access. But the question that comes to mind is, how we can do that as there is no built-in download button for saving them?

Like other popular video sharing platforms, Facebook make it harder to save videos to your computer or phone, but that doesn't mean you can't save your favorite videos. There are many options when it comes to downloading Facebook videos.

In this steps-by-step guide, I'm going to share with you a working workaround that will let you download any public or private video from Facebook directly to your computer or Android phone without using any software or any online tool.

Are you ready? If so, read on to find out how you can download and save videos from Facebook to your device in just a few simple steps.

1. How to Download Facebook Videos to Your Computer?

To get started, log into your Facebook account if needed, then find the Facebook video which you want to download.

Right-click on the Date/Time stamp above the video post, then select Copy link address from the drop-down menu.

Next, go to your browser, open a new tab, then paste the copied video link in the address bar.

Change www or web at the beginning of the url to mbasic as shown below then press Enter on your keyboard to redirect it to the basic mobile version of Facebook.

Once here, click on the the video to open it in a new window.

While it's playing, right-click on it and select Save Video As...

Finally, give your video a name if you want, then choose a destination where to save it and press the Save button.

That's it! That's how you download and save a video from Facebook to your computer, just by getting the video url, then redirecting it to the basic mobile version of Facebook by changing web or www to mbasic. Once there, play the video again and while it's playing, right click on it and select the Save Video As... option. 2. How To Download Facebook Videos On Android (Without Any App)?

Open the Facebook app and log into your account, if you haven't logged in already.

Find the Facebook video that you want to download, then tap the three-dot icon at to the top right of the video post and select Copy link.

Now, open a browser app (Google Chrome) and paste the copied video link in the address bar.

Next, change www or m to mbasic as shown below and tap Go.

Log into your Facebook account, if prompted to do so.

Now, tab on the video to open it in a new window.

Tap the three-dot icon at the bottom right corner of the video player or long-press on the video until you see the Download video option, then tap on it to start downloading the video.

Once the download is finished, click Open at the bottom to view the video or check the Downloads folder.

That's it! That's all you need to do to download and save a video from Facebook to your Android device without the need of installing any app.
